So, even with the increased price of fuel, and other rising prices factors, it is still possible to get some dirt cheap airline tickets.

In 2009 things should get better: A major american airline company, Southwest Airline, has published its prices for the first three months of the next year, and it is possible to observe a drop in prices.  Possibly this will lead other airline companies to frop their prices for the same period, making it eay for a customer to gain cheap airline tickets during the first quarter of 2009. Southwest Airline, unlike many other airlines, permits only a six month advance reservation. It is possible, so, that after March, prices will rise again.

So, if you are planning a trip to happen in the first three months of 2009, some savings will await you. If you have not yet decided when to fly, maybe you shoyld consider the first quarter of 2009 as a good period of the year to get some dirt cheap airline tickets.

I’m not sure that this is a fully right idea.
It’s true that in some cases it would be better to avoid a low cost, for example, if you make long journeys, or if you must carry animals. But airlines that offer dirt cheap airline tickets must follow the same standards of safety and maintenance of other companies.
Certainly, they have to save money in order to be able to offer tickets at low prices, but the savings should come from cutting some comforts on board and from enhancing the personnel costs, not by cutting maintenance. This is true whether the airline is in good shape from a financial point of view.

Unfortunately, this incident tells us that the company involved was not so financially good began to make cuts to staff and probably was responsible for the violation of some safety rules.

This terrible accident has taught us one thing: if you want to save on airline tickets, in addition to the usual advice that you have to keep in mind: book in advance, check on the web and so on, from today onwards, first, you must ensure, perhaps reading the newspapers and economic news, that the airline you have chosen is in a time of economic difficulty, and therefore may not be very safe. Of course, this conduct should be the duty of organs that regulate air transport, to check that each airline meets safety standards, but, unfortunately, this does not always happen, and, sadly, maybe the customers will have to think even about this side of air travel, if they want to take-off with greater security.

These are my thoughts after the terrible accident in Madrid.

Maybe summer is not the best choice for a air travel to Italy, because summer is the rush time and it is harder to find dirt cheap airline tickets during this time. It will be easier to save some money when flying to Italy in the months that preeced summer and the ones that follows. During April and May and September and October will be then easier to have some cheap air ticket from nay different American cities. Best time to travel to Italy if you want to save some more is the time of the year that goes from the first days of January to March and from all through November till half December.

Even if flights to Rome are not  the highest number in the world still they can be found easily.All the major airline offer some flight to Rome and to some other Italian town.  If you want to save more just check if some of the lesser known, low cost carrier has some flight to Rome, check other posts in this site where we have talked about European low cost carriers.

Once you have arrived to Rome with your dirt cheap airline tickets you can visit the Italy’s capital using tour bus that will let you sightsee all historical sights of this very very ancient town. The ticket for this tour has a little price and can be bought in various specific kiosk around town. In Rome you will find a great choice for accommodation, but we advice to check and to book in advance because, even if we have some time of the year that is not rush, a slow season is always a busy one for a city like Rome so if you have not booked any kind of accommodation you will risk to have to run around Rome desperately seeking a place to sleep.

Rome today is a even nicer town because many of its wonderful historical places have been restored to their ancient glory and the living is still easy even if the traffic can be chaotic sometimes.

Shining in the desert dust of Nevada, Las Vegas is one of the most vibrant, astonishing cities on earth. You might be aware that at the very beginning of the pastcentury there was not even a town called Las Vegas and now, about a century later this town homes over a million people.

First of this batch is not a low cost company, in fact is the flagship company of the UK: British Airways. Low cost airline companies operating to Paris have their hubs in 3 airports: Paris De Gaulle, Paris Orly and Paris Beauvais. Be aware that while the first two are very near the center of Paris, Beauvais is located 105 Km away from the city, so consider an extra expense for the trip from there to the center of Paris.

Charles De Gaulle airport, or Roissy as the french call it, is the first French and one on the top european and world airport. Even so a lot of dirt cheap airline tickets companies operate there, so it is a good choice both for the services it can gives and for trying not to spend too much on airfares.

Orly was the first french airport before the construction of CDG, but today it stays in the first spot for internal traffic.

Paris Beauvais is mostly operated by low cost airline companies so chances are that you will have to get there if you want to save money. To get to Paris from Beauvais, you must be ready to spend 13 euros (more or less) and to do a bus travel that will last more than an hour. Still it could be a good bargain to choose a company that operates on this distant airport.

I will try to mention as much as i can, but maybe i will leave some out.

Let’s start with one of the biggest competitors in the european arena: easyJet operates a lot routes connecting Newcastle, Liverpool and Belfast to Paris CDG. easyJet also operates on Paris Orly to the spanish cities of Madrid and Barcelona. Also Milan, Pisa and Naples in Italy, Geneva in Switzerland and Berlin in Germany are connected to Paris from and to Paris Orly.

The second operator offering dirt cheap airline tickets to Paris is Jet2, a company based in the UK, that connects Leeds to Paris CDG.

If you want to fly Paris to and from Italy you should consider Meridiana that is a low fare Italian airline connecting Paris to Naples, a big south of Italy city, this company also connects the sicilian cities of Catania and Palermo to France’s capital. Another italian low cost airline company is MyAir that has only one flight but from two of the most beatiful towns in the world, the route Venice-Paris is something to do!
